July's Last Friday is Lou and Leo

Have you bought your CrickleClub Membership? It's time to renew for 2026 - no alcohol purchases at the bar without one! You will have had to have had your membership for at least 72 hours before the event in order to buy alcohol.

Lou and Leo are Louella JC and Leo Palzer. Their shared excitement for carefully crafted harmonies – and each other’s songs – brought them together as a singer-songwriter duo in 2022, accompanying themselves on guitar, banjo and ukulele.

Returning to the library for their second visit, they bring a rich and varied programme that weaves together their own original songs with imaginative reworkings of traditional folk, Americana and carefully chosen covers. Their writing explores love, anger, social injustice and women’s lives – from the navigation of contemporary motherhood to the joys and perils of a seriously drunken night out.

Join us on the last Friday of July 2026 for an evening of warm harmonies, sharp storytelling and music that feels both intimate and wide-ranging.
