Following the success of More Than a Mummers Play, CricklePlayers returns at the end of June with a new series of workshops led by Mary Chater, bringing her trademark energy, insight and infectious love of language to every session.

Mary is an experienced actor and workshop leader, with a rich background in performing Shakespeare with companies including the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre and in repertory theatres across the UK. She has also led drama workshops in schools, universities and community settings, as well as in more unexpected spaces such as HMP Styal and Bronzefield — always with a focus on making theatre accessible, playful and alive for everyone.

This season we turn to Shakespeare — a world of tragedy, comedy, sharp-tongued insults and tangled intrigue, with plenty of opportunity to step into the spotlight yourself.
