About your Tutor, Sylvia.

An Artist living and working in east London. I work with drawings, paintings, collages of people's faces, and bodies, but also urban landscape paintings. My work starts from observation, in person or with the use of photography that I manipulate to create my vision of what I will then reproduce on paper/ canvas.

I create collage montages of drawings and paintings to tell stories that celebrate the human figure in all forms, shapes and tones, with a story telling playfulness.

My urban landscape is the reflection of my moods that living in this part of London inspires me, walking in the canals and witnessing wildlife and
urbanization cohabiting creating their poetry is always a source of inspiration for me, I try to report all these feelings on to canvas to tell the public these urban tales.

Sylvietta is also a member of Nova Chroma a virtual Art Gallery That promotes artists and is run by artists without charging them fees for Commissions, She is also part of the #draweachother art group, a global open community of artists that draw each other’s portraits, started in London and now is spread all over the world.

Access statement

  • This is an accessible, inclusive event. The maximum number of participants is 15.

  • We will cover a distance of less than 1.5km. The paths are approx. 1-2m wide. The surface is crushed concrete fines, a type of hard-packed fine gravel (which doesn't turn to mud in rain). We will not be using steps on this tour but there may be areas where the path narrows and may be difficult for wheelchairs to traverse. If arranged in advance a motorised vehicle could drive onto the site. There is restriction free on-street parking on Southern Grove during the weekend.

  • Please contact us with at least 2 weeks’ notice if you’d like BSL or other interpretation/translation and we will do our best to facilitate. Sadly we have no interpreters or translators available in-house.

  • Toilets will be available in the Cemetery Park Lodge at the beginning and end of the event. There is a toilet that is deemed accessible.  It is approx. 1.6m x 2m and there is a fixed support bar on the left of the toilet, with a movable bar on the right. There is no adult changing table or hoist.

  • We are able to offer baby changing facilities and we can provide a private space for breastfeeding on request.

  • We aim to make our events as accessible as possible and are learning constantly how to do this better. If you would like to let us know about any specific requirements or access needs that you would like us to meet, or offer feedback on our accessibility arrangements, please email contact@fothcp.org. We want you to feel safe in nature.

Refund policy: If you tell us that you want to cancel your ticket, we will only give you a refund if you request one, and if you give a minimum of 48 hours notice before the start of the event.
