The year has turned, and there are signs of the coming season all around, if you have eyes for them. Join us in our search for spring. Warm up afterwards with tea or coffee and biscuits at the Soanes Centre.
Your walk leader is Kenneth Greenway, the Manager of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park.
SPACES ARE LIMITED TO 25 TO HELP ENSURE SOCIAL DISTANCING
We will maintain social distancing and ask attendees to clean their hands on arrival.
Please note the Soanes Centre will only open for toilet facilities, there will be no space to store your belongings.
Do not attend if you or a member of your household have COVID-19 symptoms or have had a positive test result recently. If you develop or display symptoms on the day you may be asked to leave. Please check your symptoms and whether it’s suitable for you to attend.
1) Please arrive on time and go to the meeting area: the War Memorial in front of the Soanes Centre (on the right as you enter via our main gates on Southern Grove E3).
2) You will be asked to clean your hands before the event starts. You may be asked to wear a mask in some circumstances, especially if you use the facilities indoors.
3) Please be respectful of others and maintain social distancing where possible. The risk you are willing to accept is not the same as what others are willing to accept.
4) The Friends will collect contact information on attendees and they will be provided to national or local government Test and Trace services on request. Apart from Test and Trace, we will treat your data in accordance with our data protection policies.

Access statement
This is an accessible, inclusive guided tour. The maximum number of participants is 25.
We will cover a distance of less than 1.5km. The paths are approx. 1-2m wide. The surface is crushed concrete fines, a type of hard-packed fine gravel (which doesn't turn to mud in rain). We will not be using steps on this tour but there may be areas where the path narrows and may be difficult for wheelchairs to traverse. If arranged in advance a motorised vehicle could drive onto the site. There is on-street parking in the nearby area during the weekend.
Please contact us with at least 2 weeks’ notice if you’d like BSL or other interpretation/translation and we will do our best to facilitate. Sadly we have no interpreters or translators available in-house.
Toilets will be available in the Soanes Centre. There is a toilet that was deemed accessible when it was refurbished in 2007, but it is not accessible in line with today's standards. It is approx. 2x2 m2 and there is a fixed support bar on the left of the toilet, with a movable bar on the right. There is no adult changing table or hoist.
We are not able to offer baby changing facilities but we can provide a private space for breastfeeding on request.
We aim to make our events as accessible as possible and are learning constantly how to do this better. If you would like to let us know about any specific requirements or access needs that you would like us to meet, or offer feedback on our accessibility arrangements, please email contact@fothcp.org. We want you to feel safe in nature.
Refund policy: If you tell us that you want to cancel your ticket, we will only give you a refund if you request one, and if you give a minimum of 48 hours notice before the start of the event. If your reason for cancellation is Covid-related, you must send us a screenshot of the notification (NHS app or test result)
