“Can we thrive by collaboration with Nature?”

After a couple of decades - we’ve come to the conclusion that the first thing to do when growing chairs and artworks is consider and have fun imagining the trees’ point of view. 

Alice has designed the ’Think Like A Tree’ workshop that’s been enjoyed by art students in Eindhoven with the wonderful Nacho Carbonell and aficionados in Louis Vuitton in New York.

You don't even need any gardening, design or artistic experience! Beginning with the stand-alone workshop, Think Like A Tree, we will set the scene for later workshops exploring our methods. 

The workshop includes the following

1) Introduction to Full Grown

2) Choosing your Tree Buddy

3) Introduction to Symmetry in Nature and Biophilic Design

4) Creating your own design, using your Tree Buddy as inspiration

After nearly two decades of thought and consideration the Full Grown project began to focus on answering this question by neatly planting trees in a quiet corner of British Woodland on a bright sunny morning in the Spring of 2006.

What began a as a search for a subtle and efficient way to make durable furniture became a complete re-evaluation of design, then manufacturing, then agriculture, then art and eventually, of our entire relationship with Nature…
