RISE Webinar: Land-Based Knowledge Hubs

In this online discussion, we will hear from four land-based knowledge hubs in the UK. We will delve into the nitty gritty of how these knowledge hubs work, looking at their successes and challenges. Confirmed speakers are: Northern Food and Farming Knowledge Hubs and ADHB Monitor Farms. We hope to also have a representative from Innovative Farmers Field Labs and Landed Community Kitchens (TBC).

We hope this discussion will give an opportunity for those working in regional grain networks across the UK to think about how they could utilise the resources in their regions to create physical spaces for knowledge sharing and connection.

This webinar is being organised by the RISE - a community of representatives from Regional Grain Networks across the UK, coordinated by the Gaia Foundation’s Seed Sovereignty Programme, UK Grain Lab and Coventry University Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience. The RISE project has established a Community of Practice (CoP) to address key challenges facing people working on the ground regionally in their transition towards an agroecological grain system. Our vision is to see our movement more connected, organised and skilled as we move forward to change the grain system together. We believe a more diverse, democratic and decentralised grain system is possible.
