The Gaia Foundation's Seed Sovereignty Programme

South of England

Winter Seed Gathering

Monday 30 November 2026 | 1–5pm | Bristol

An afternoon bringing together seed savers, growers, breeders, community seed projects and others interested in working towards a more diverse and resilient seed system across the South of England.

Hosted by The Gaia Foundation's Seed Sovereignty Programme, the gathering is an opportunity to reconnect, meet others working with seed, share what we're doing and explore what might be possible together.

We'll hear about seed projects and activities across the region, exchange experiences and ideas, and make space for conversations about shared interests, challenges and opportunities for cooperation.

Whether you're involved in seed production, community growing, crop breeding, research, seed libraries or simply interested in getting started, you're welcome.

Bring some seed, a project, a question or something you'd like to share — or just come along to meet others.

Programme

  • 1–4pm: Introductions, seed and project sharing, conversations and exploring opportunities together.
  • 4–5pm: Informal networking and time to catch up.

The main activities will finish at 4pm, with the final hour available for informal conversations. You're welcome to leave at 4pm if you need to.
