My Brothers' Keeper: A Retreat for Men of Color in Education
My Brothers’ Keeper is a professional development retreat intentionally created by and for self-identified men of color in independent schools.
This retreat focuses on equipping participants with the skills, strategies, and networks that strengthen professional success and sustainability. Through interactive sessions and peer collaboration, we will:
- Sharpen leadership and management skills.
- Build tools for balancing personal identity and professional roles.
- Expand peer-to-peer connections to foster long-term professional support.
- Learn practices for sustaining energy, wellness, and effectiveness in demanding school environments.
By centering the lived experiences of men of color, this retreat offers practical outcomes for professional growth and cultivates the collective wisdom of our community.
The retreat begins with dinner at 7pm on Friday, followed by an opening session.
Sessions will run from 9am to 10pm on Saturday, and 9am-12pm on Sunday.
Participants are expected at all sessions.
Registration refundable at 50% until September 1, 2026. After that date, registration is not refundable but is transferable to next year's retreat (for you or for a different participant of your choosing).
