The Great Southern Walk takes you through some of the most stunning countryside that the Kent Downs has to offer. Embrace the challenge knowing that every step you take is helping to raise vital funds for two local charities working in our community.

Take on Kent's exciting charity challenge on Sunday 13th September, starting and finishing at the Brett Group Offices just outside Canterbury.

You can choose the 15 mile route covering a high and breath taking route along the Kent Downs. Enjoy long views of open rolling hills and valleys, ancient woodlands, hidden gem hamlets as you explore the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Or enjoy the 5 mile route, designed to suit everyone of all abilities and ages to explore the beautiful surroundings walking beside the waters of the River Stour and with fine views of Canterbury city.

And, with every step, you'll be helping to raise funds for two amazing charities: Rising Sun and the Prince of Wales Youth Club

Walking for a Cause

The Great Southern Walk helps to raise vital funds for two local charities, Rising Sun & The Prince of Wales Youth Club. 

Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service has been working for 50 years to prevent domestic abuse and support survivors and their children. They provide specialist services for those in crisis and for those living with the effects of their trauma, helping adults, young people and children to safety, recovery and free from future harm. 

The Prince of Wales Youth Club has existed since 1935 to fight against the exclusion of disadvantaged young people. This fully inclusive group focus on helping young people gain new skills to combat issues they issues that the face in a safe, friendly environment that enables them to flourish.
