The Green Runners: Inaugural Weekend Gathering
Join us for our first-ever weekend gathering! This is a special opportunity to come together, share energy, and take positive action as a community. Set in the heart of the Peak District, we’ll be running, learning, and connecting at the Mount Cook Adventure Centre.
Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Book now to secure your spot!

- Dates: Friday 12th June (Arrival from 5pm) – Sunday 14th June (Departure from 3pm onwards).

🏃 What’s Included
Your ticket is all-inclusive of the weekend's core programming:
- Guided Trail Runs: Two runs with various paces and distances to suit everyone.
- Inspiring Talks: Evening sessions featuring Green Runners Co-Founders, Jasmin Paris and Damian Hall.
- Workshops: Opportunities to learn and participate in positive climate action.
- Wholesome Food: 6 x freshly cooked vegan meals (Friday: Dinner; Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner; Sunday: Breakfast and Lunch).
- Fuelling & Hydration: Fruit, vegan snacks, tea, coffee, and refreshments throughout. Plus plenty of bottle refilling stations on site.
- Facilities: Full use of Mount Cook's Main Lodge for all activities.
🎟️ Ticket Options
We offer three main ways to attend:
- Full Weekend Ticket + Accommodation - £155 per person
Includes all meals, activities and accommodation for Friday and Saturday night in 4-person rooms with a shared shower and toilet. We offer single-gender and mixed options - please specify your requirements in the Preferences & Logistics Form upon booking confirmation. - Full Weekend Ticket + On-Site Camping - £130 per person
Includes all meals and activities. There is limited space for 10 small tents on a grass area outside the main building. Note: This is basic "wild-style" camping - there are no toilets or taps on the grass; all facilities and showers are located inside the Main Building and available for use. - Full Weekend Ticket (No Accommodation) - £105 per person
Includes all meals and activities but no accommodation. This is perfect if you are staying nearby with family or friends who are not Green Runner Members.

Saturday 13 June

08:15: Black Rocks parkrun, plogging, and running tips from our coaches
12:00: Moroccan brunch
13:30: Tree planting activity or an optional trail run
15:30: Tea and cake
16:00: Repair workshop + Gel Making Workshop with Darren Evans (Co-Founder of The Green Runners)
17:00: Local Climate Action Group community-building sessions
18:30: Indian feast
20:00: Fireside chat with Jasmin Paris, Elis Parry, and Jeev Singh on running mentality
Sunday 14 June
08:00: Breakfast and trail snacks
09:00: Guided trail run or walk (three pace options available)
12:30: Mediterranean lunch
13:30: Reviewing the Gathering's footprint and future TGR initiatives
15:30: Tea, cake, and departures
🤝 Inclusion & Accessibility
We want this gathering to be for everyone:
- Bursary Places: We are offering 3 fully-funded places for those who might find it difficult to attend due to financial barriers. This is handled with total discretion - please email dan.beaumont@thegreenrunners.com to find out more information or apply.
- All Paces & Abilities: Our guided runs/outings are about community, not competition. There will be various groups available, from walking and relaxed social places to faster trail runs.
- Dogs: Only guide dogs are permitted on site.
- Accessibility: Mount Cook is an accessible venue. Please share any specific needs (e.g. Ground Floor, Quieter Room) in the Preferences & Logistics Form so we can support you.
🌍 Travel & Sustainability
In line with our mission, we encourage low-carbon travel:
- Train: Mount Cook is just 1.5 miles from Cromford Railway Station (direct links to Derby Railway Station).
- Support: We will soon share details on guided walks from the station and car-sharing options.
- Impact: We will be measuring the carbon footprint of this event and will request brief travel details from attendees in the Preferences & Logistics Form after booking.
- EV Charging: There are two EV charging points available on site.
