Meet the Trainer Open House -Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for the Treatment of Trauma Level 1

Meet Jacquie Compton (she/they)  Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Trainer for the Toronto Level 1 training. Join Jacquie to learn more about the training and share some experiential exercises for nourishment, fun, and community weaving.  

· Learn how to support clients through the 3 phases of trauma treatment, develop your understanding of modulation of the nervous system, grow your skill and creativity with somatic resources, and learn foundational methods for metabolizing traumatic activation in gentle, empowering somatic ways that help restore inner safety, dignity, and belonging. Experienced group facilitator and trainer, Jacquie brings playful, invigorating, creative methods for learning. Jacquie is a Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Canadian Art Therapist, weaving somatics, creativity, and neuroscience approaches into their clinical practice and their teaching, while rooting into Liberatory Social Justice and Anti-Oppressive Praxis frameworks. This 3 module training starts Oct.21st, 2026.
