Sunday Writing Sessions: 11 October

Hey there writer! Join me (Anna Dempsey) at SET Social in Peckham for an afternoon of guided writing, fun prompts and sharing words aloud in a welcoming community. 

This month our theme is ‘Halloween' which means we'll be getting inspiration from Shirley Jackson's stories & novels, Practical Magic, Hocus Pocus and the WITCH anthology by Michelle Tea.

This is a generative workshop (meaning we will be creating new material) that's designed to *spark* your creativity and give you a place to put words to the page. The hope is that you'll walk away with a new poem or idea for a short story (or hell, a novel!). Doesn't matter if you're an experienced writer, just beginning or picking it back up from childhood...all are welcome!

What to expect:

• Writing prompts/time to write
• Coffee, tea, snacks for purchase at the SET bar
• A super supportive environment for sharing work...we always clap!
• Guidance from an experienced writing instructor
• Connection with fellow writers
• An accessible venue

All writing abilities welcome! Simply bring your own notebook and pen!
