DIY Basics for Women
Created for women, this workshop offers a welcoming space to learn DIY skills without pressure or judgement.
Learn the basics of how things work in your home and get hands‑on practice with real tools. We’ll cover simple safety tips, how to use common tools, a beginner‑friendly drill session, how to choose the right fixings, how to secure items to walls, and how to fill holes. Perfect for complete beginners who want to feel more confident doing small jobs at home.
We’ll start at 1:45pm promptly so please arrive between 1:30pm-1:45pm. We’ll provide tea, coffee and biscuits. We’ll have a 10 minute tea break partway through the session. There’s a small shop over the road, and a limited number of parking spaces available at the venue.
Please wear closed‑toe shoes and clothing you don’t mind getting a bit dusty. Where possible, please tie long hair back to keep it safely out of the way.
