1799's Pasta & Cocktail Making Experience

FRANKLIN’S VALENTINE’S DAY FIZZ – Gin, Aperol, Orgeat, Lemon, Egg White

HANDMADE RICOTTA GNOCCHI – Ricotta Gnocchi with Wild Game Sausage, Fennel Confit, Broccolini, Parmesan, and Chili Threads

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

Cocktail Class: Our House Mixologist will walk you through the history of Fizz’s along with the ingredients and flavors of traditional fizz drinks. You will learn about egg whites in cocktails and the unique flavors and texture they impart. You will then have the opportunity to make our Valentine’s Day special cocktail – The Franklin Valentine’s Day Fizz to sip & enjoy!

Cooking Class: Chef will walk you and your partner through the steps of making a traditional gnocchi dough. Then, after rolling out and shaping your gnocchi, you will get to fill and build your own dish with Chef Thomas’s special Valentine’s Day recipe. At the end, Chef Thomas will show you how to finish cooking the pasta and you will get to enjoy your own creation and take home a keepsake recipe card to make again.

WHERE YOU WILL LEARN:

At the Harpeth Hotel. Your Valentine’s experience will be in McGavock’s Café where the 1799 Chefs & Mixologists will walk you through each experience.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Welcome Champagne. Cocktail you will be making with the help of our mixologist team. Ricotta Gnocchi dish you will be making yourself. Recipe card so you can make everything at home for your friends and family. Personal gnocchi board to take home with you. 

You will be working in a group setting with approximately 8-10 other couples.

You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class.

You will be working with alcohol, and must be at least 21 years of age with a valid ID.

The class will last approximately 2 hours.

You will work with others and share workstations and equipment.

Our recipes are developed using traditional and modern cooking techniques and all ingredients may not be listed in the menu. If you have any food allergies, please give us a call before booking. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during the class.
