Welcome back to the Henley Female Network where every fourth Friday  of the month we provide a warm, supportive and welcoming space for conversation, inspiration and connection. Take time for yourself and come along to expand your personal and professional network as you connect with like-minded women. All women are welcome - whether you're self employed, employed, currently taking a break or anything in between. Come for joy, for friendship, for business or for life. Our focus is on connection first and we find that when we start there business and friendship follow naturally.

What’s next: navigating life’s twists and turns

Minutes after crossing the finish line in Paris to claim her second Paralympic gold medal, coxing the Team GB PR3 Mixed Coxed Four to victory, Erin Kennedy was asked the question so many high achievers dread: "What's next?".

A two-time Paralympic champion, Guinness World Record holder, and the first coxswain to simultaneously hold Paralympic, World, and European titles, Erin's story is one of relentless pursuit - but also of hard-won perspective. In May 2022, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and, with characteristic determination, flew out to compete at the World Cup the very next day. She went on to win European gold while on chemotherapy, before making a triumphant return to claim her second Paralympic title in Paris.

This month, we are delighted to welcome Erin as a new partner of the Henley Female Collective. She'll be sharing what "next" truly means to her now - her vision and her purpose beyond the podium. But perhaps more importantly, she'll be talking about something elite sport rarely celebrates: the art of being in the moment - and why, in a world obsessed with what's coming next, learning to savour where you are might be the most powerful skill of all.
