The Heritage Alliance is pleased to announce the first in a series of regional events funded through a National Lottery Heritage Fund Resilience Grant, designed to bring together heritage organisations, academic institutions, and sector partners from across England. Heritage organisations face shared challenges around capacity, skills, funding and advocacy that are not London specific, and these events are designed to facilitate an environment where these challenges can be addressed and discussed. The event is a unique opportunity to share knowledge, learn from others, and strengthen relationships by networking with local heritage organisations, their regional peers, academia, and The Heritage Alliance.
The day will include the following sessions:
Case Study Presentations
Local heritage organisations share honest, practical lessons from recent projects, the challenges they faced, how they overcame them, and what others can take away.
Academic Connections
Explore how universities and heritage organisations can work together more effectively to build resilience across the sector, with facilitated breakouts to identify areas for collaboration.
Advocacy 101
Practical guidance on making the case for heritage and engaging effectively with regional political structures.
Funding Panel
Representatives from regional organisations and major funders, including the Black Country Living Museum, will discuss funding challenges, opportunities and resources that organisations may not yet know about.
Location
Black Country Living Museum, DY1 4AL
