Supporting relationships - Training for support workers

Supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism to navigate friendships, intimacy, and relationships is an essential but often challenging part of frontline work.

People frequently tell us they feel unsure how to balance safety, safeguarding, rights, and respect — and want clearer guidance and more confidence.

This half-day in-person training session is designed to give you the confidence and skills to support people with learning disabilities and autism in developing and maintaining safe, healthy, and respectful intimate relationships.

Our training is designed to help you gain:

  • Increased confidence in addressing sensitive issues
  • Practical strategies to support client safety, dignity, and wellbeing
  • Greater awareness of safeguarding and legal responsibilities
  • Tools to reduce risk and promote positive outcomes

Doors open at 9.15am as we will start promptly at 9.30am
