This is a 3-week course that will focus on demystifying the process of seeking healthcare. Intended to empower you when faced with uncertain decisions and confusing paperwork, this course will walk you through the essentials of your own healthcare process, or when caring for others!

In this course, you will learn:

• Patient rights. You have many more rights than you think!
• Legal terms to be familiar with
• How to get lab work yourself
• How to become a health advocate for someone else legally
• Medicare/Medicaid 101
• What are the different type of healthcare facilities and providers
• Consent and what this means with your health decisions

This course is open to everyone, and will also cover methods that herbalists can use to help clients get better quality healthcare when they need it the most!

Course Hours: 14 contact hours.

Dates: This is a 3 week course beginning on June 8th, 2025. Registration will remain open until June 22nd, 2026.

New lectures, pdfs, documents and videos are uploaded each week.

Tentative Live Class Schedule:

* All live classes are scheduled for 7pm CST and will be recorded for students to view and download later.

There is a 4-week grace period after the last class week, to allow ample time for downloading content and finishing the course test.
