In her honour, we invite you to join friends, colleagues, students, alumni, healthcare professionals and industry partners for reflection, learning and networking as we explore one of the most exciting frontiers in modern medicine: the role of mitochondria in health and disease — the very event Heather was planning before she passed.

What truly drives human health, ageing and disease?

Far more than simply the "powerhouse of the cell," mitochondria are sophisticated command centres of cellular function, influencing energy production, metabolism, immune health, ageing and disease. They are, quite literally, the motherboard of human biology.

Through expert-led presentations and meaningful conversations, we’ll explore the latest insights into mitochondrial science and its far-reaching implications for healthcare, while celebrating the spirit of curiosity and lifelong learning that Heather embodied.
