COFA Survival Guide - An intermediate guide to your role

Duration is between 2 to 3 hours, depending on the questions raised.

The role of the COFA has become more demanding since the SRA Accounts Rules were updated. This live training aims to tackle the most important day-to-day issues and will provide you with a guide to the high-risk areas you may encounter.

What you will learn

  • The high risk areas you may come across on a regular basis. Including: provision of prohibited banking facilities, residual balances, shortages from the client account and more.
  • What happens when a breach is discovered. The breaches register and reporting requirements.
  • How to deal with residual balances and what the Law Society recent practice note has to say.
  • What changes are expected and what does the future look like for the Accounts Rules.

3 hours of CPD training applicable.
