Join the Dig it Kids team for 45 minutes of fun, learning about the High Crosses of Ireland - who built them and why?
Children will be taught the role of the High Cross in Early Christian Ireland. The focus will be on the High Cross as a method of telling stories, from the bible, and from the lives of the kings that erected them.
Children will learn how to draw a range of Celtic knots and then design their own panel for the High Cross, telling a story of what is important to them – be it family, sports, or an important event in their lives.
There are two sessions to choose from:
This event is open to kids aged 6-12 years old. A parent / guardian must drop their child/children to the event 5 minutes prior to the start time, and be ready to collect them five minutes prior to the end time.
