Join the Dig it Kids team for 45 minutes of fun, learning about the heraldry and the life of medieval knights.
Children will be taught about the arrival of the Anglo Normans in this part of Ireland, and the shields they used to protect themselves and to identify their family / whose side they were on.
Children will learn about heraldry, what symbols and colours meant to medieval knights, and they will design their own shield, picking colours and symbols that represent their values.
There are two sessions to choose from:
This event is open to kids aged 6-12 years old. A parent / guardian must drop their child/children to the event 5 minutes prior to the start time, and be ready to collect them five minutes prior to the end time.
Please note that there will be 12 places available on a first-come first-served basis on the day for each session - for those who do not manage to find a slot here, please come early on the day and sign up with the Cruinniú na nÓg representative.
