Kendall Square Salon

A Salon in Kendall Square: An Evening Set in Motion
A bike shop is a place where things are repaired, tuned, and set in motion. For one special evening, Casa Bikes becomes a place where people do the same. You’re invited to Kendall Square for a Salon where art opens doors, food brings us together, stories are shared, and friendships are put into motion.

What is a Salon?
A Salon is a gathering built for real connection. It’s not a networking event or a lecture, but an intimate evening where strangers become neighbors over shared art, honest conversation, and a good meal. Everyone arrives as a guest and leaves as part of something larger. No expertise or preparation is required, only a little curiosity!

Our Convener Model™ - Bring your people, and some who aren't your people yet
There are no single tickets at The Jar. When you buy a ticket, you automatically get an added 3 spots to invite guests: a +1 and two people who don’t look, love, or pray like you, with whom you may not usually share a night out. Together, enjoy an experience designed to leave you feeling a little more curious, a little more connected, and ready to see the world through fresh eyes.

The space
This Happening is produced in partnership with AMPED, a third-space infrastructure project that partners with local businesses to transform commercial spaces into community cultural spaces: electric by day, alive by night. Our first business-in-residence is Casa Bikes, an e-bike, cargo bike, and e-scooter showroom that will be transformed for one evening into a home for community.

The flow of the evening
Expect a radically delightful evening of community featuring dinner, art, and dessert.

• 7:00 PM – Check In + Mingle: Arrive, settle in, and meet your fellow guests among the bikes.
• 7:30 PM – Art + Dialogue: An art piece shared by a community curator opens the door to conversation
• 8:00 PM – Dinner: Gather around the table for a meal that brings us together, with connection continuing over dessert.
• 9:45 PM – End of Night: Head home with new friends, new perspectives, and maybe a little momentum.

Dinner will include vegan and gluten-free options.

Come as you are. Leave a little more connected.
