Korean Traditional Music and Dance Center of New York (KTMDC)

Founded in 1987, the Korean Traditional Music and Dance Center (KTMDC) is the oldest established Korean performing arts organization in New York City. KTMDC is dedicated to preserving and promoting Korean traditional music and dance through performances, education, cultural experiences, and community outreach programs.

For nearly four decades, KTMDC has served as a cultural ambassador, sharing the beauty and spirit of Korean heritage with diverse communities throughout New York and beyond. The organization is also committed to nurturing the next generation of artists and cultural leaders while preserving the rich traditions of Korean performing arts for future generations.

1987년에 설립된 뉴욕한국국악원(Korean Traditional Music and Dance Center of New York, KTMDC)은 뉴욕시에서 가장 오랜 역사를 가진 한국 전통예술 전문 단체입니다. 뉴욕한국국악원은 공연, 교육, 문화체험 및 지역사회 활동을 통해 한국 전통음악과 무용을 보존하고 널리 알리는 데 힘쓰고 있습니다.

지난 40여 년 동안 뉴욕한국국악원은 한국 문화의 아름다움을 뉴욕과 미국 내 다양한 지역사회에 소개하며 문화예술 사절단의 역할을 수행해 왔습니다. 또한 차세대 예술인과 문화 리더를 양성하며 한국 전통예술의 가치를 미래 세대에 이어가는 데 앞장서고 있습니다.
