HOMEGAME 3 #LANGCATLIVE
We’re coming back home.
The theme for the lang cat’s next event on 4 October is ‘Save your progress’. We’ve come a long way in the last decade, so we thought it would be good to take stock and decide: what are we happy with? What aren’t we happy with? What should we keep? evolve? get rid of? when it comes to advice and tech.
It’s tempting to throw up our hands and say everything is broken with the technology and systems that rule your worlds. We should know, we’ve dedicated whole reports to this very subject.
But while some parts of your ecosystem definitely leave a lot to be desired, others are worthy of saving. What are the noteworthy advances and developments that are under way, and how can we better harness what exists already to make your and your clients’ lives easier?
Technology is a big topic, so we plan to come at it from a few angles:
- Big picture: How broken is the tech really? The state of adviser tech today
- How do we retain what’s good?
- Embedding change in advice
- Factoring in all the above while running a business
Along the way we’ll discuss things like business operations, the role of tech in retirement advice, platforms, CRMs, disruptors vs scale players and managing change projects while holding down the day-to-day. Each session aims to be honest about the bad on advice and tech, while also consolidating and calling out the good.
We’ll be releasing more details about the agenda over the coming weeks. For now, we’ll tell you that while providers and tech companies will inevitably be in the mix, most of the voices you hear on the day will come from planners and practitioners.
