We humans carry a deep longing in our hearts to belong to something bigger. It is our most innate, instinctive desire. Yet sometimes, when we find it—whether in a friend, beloved, family, group of people, or community—the euphoria of finding it quickly turns into a struggle. There is something about belonging to something bigger that threatens our notion of who we are as individuals. The struggle comes from knowing that to belong to something bigger, we have to let go of some parts of who we are. Sometimes these are parts we cherish and find safety in. Nowadays, we live in a society that is focused on the individual, which, over many generations, has forgotten how to be together as a collective being.
Are you ready to explore how to become a collective "us" rather than just an individual "me"? Join us at our weekend workshop, where we delve into the journey from the singular "I" into the expansive "We."
Discover how to navigate the world through nourishing and fulfilling relationships, whether they are one-on-one interactions, family bonds, or community connections. Learn to walk in harmony with others, enriching both your life and theirs.
Embrace the quality of wisdom, and uncover how to carry it in the face of conflicts and challenging relationships. This retreat offers you the tools and insights to foster deeper connections and bring peace into your life.
We invite you to a special weekend workshop to explore the power of unity and collective wisdom, led by Fawzia Al-Rawi at Nanpantan Hall From 14-17 November, 2024. Secure your spot by booking your ticket today
Our Teacher
Rosina-Fawzia Al-Rawi Al-Rifai was born in Baghdad and spent her childhood in Iraq and Lebanon. Her grandmother initiated her into the culture and traditions of the Middle East where belly-dancing played a major part as an expression of the world of the feminine.
Fawzia Al-Rawi holds a PhD in Islamic studies. She completed her Arabic, Islamic and ethnological studies at the Universities of Vienna and Cairo. She then spent 12 years in Jerusalem where she brought up her children and worked at the Institute for the Promotion of Palestinian Agriculture and at the University of Jerusalem, while deepening both her theoretical and practical knowledge of Sufism under the guidance of Sidi Shaykh Muhammad Al-Rifai. She has been living in Vienna with her husband and their three children since 2001.
Fawzia Al-Rawi has been teaching Sufism for over 20 years. She holds workshops in various countries and works particularly with women. Her teaching draws on a wealth of experience from a bicultural environment which uniquely enables her to build a bridge of understanding between different cultures, open a space where these can meet and thus contribute to peace.
She has published several books in Arabic, German, English and French.
