This event is the second of our peer to peer learning and networking events for the arts and culture community in the Bradford District.

Morning Session - please welcome our guest speakers:
Nabeela Ahmed

Nabeela is a writer, multilingual poet and spoken word artist. Her poetry manuscript will be published in Autumn 2024 via Yaffle Press. She published her novella, Despite our Differences, in 2018. She teaches creative writing and delivers readings in schools, libraries, for Authors Abroad, the National Literacy Trust and various festivals including The Brontes Wild Women Festival and has compiled two anthologies from these sessions including Attock to Attock Park. She hosts Bradford Writes which platforms Bradford writers and is responsible for organising the only public Pahari Mushaira in Britain through Intercultured Festival.
Aisha Khan

Aisha talks about her journey with Bradford South Asian Festival (BSAF) and her Little Foodies project, which is one of the recipients of our new Festival Awards. BSAF runs a three day arts, culture and heritage festival every August, as well as year-round community arts and cultural activities. Little Foodies grew out of a series of of pop-up cooking events held for BSAF. Aisha will talk about her journey from journalism (her day job) to cultural entrepreneur, and her vision for Bradford's first dedicated children's food festival.
Fozia Naseem

Fozia is the Partnerships Manager at GiveBradford who distributes vital grants and gives trusted advice to Community Organisations across the District to influence positive change in the local communities and the district. Fozia’s role is to connect and build relationships with Community Organisations, businesses, stakeholders and partners and anyone in between who are passionate about making a difference in the Bradford District and how we can all work on building a fairer future together.
Haigh Simpson

Haigh Simpson is studio director of Out of Place Studio, the team delivering the new It's On In Bradford website. It's On In Bradford is a recently launched what's on platform dedicated to engaging audiences with arts and culture activity across the district. Haigh will be delivering a demonstration of the site and explaining how event promoters/organisers and artists can utilise this new resource to promote their events for free to audiences across Bradford.
Afternoon Session - Workshops:
Risk Assessment Workshop

We are delighted to introduce Pam Kershaw and Saboor Ghazi to deliver a workshop on carrying out Risk Assessments. Pam's freelance work has given her considerable experience in this field, which she is also bringing to bear in her own project with The Leap, Our House Music. Saboor's background in Youth Work has involved preparing risk assessments for a variety of projects and situations and his practical knowledge is put to good use in this workshop.
Monitoring and Evaluation Workshop
Ruth Melville from RMR will be delivering a session on the benefits and practicalities of monitoring and evaluating your events and activities. This is an opportunity to have all your M&E related questions answered. This session is aimed specifically at The Leap's current cohort of Award Winners but you are welcome to join the session.
