Join an Ask Us Anything featuring LEVI Literacy, the second cohort of the Learning Engineering Virtual Institute (LEVI), an ambitious, multidisciplinary R&D program with a proven approach to developing and scaling AI-based tools designed to dramatically improve learning outcomes. Over the next five years, the LEVI Literacy cohort will work toward the moonshot goal of halving the number of struggling readers in grades K-2.

The session will feature speakers from the cohort alongside Thomas Christie and Akshay Nagarajan from Renaissance Philanthropy’s Engineering Hub. Together, they’ll discuss the LEVI model and its approach to research and development, share examples of the technical interventions being built, and walk through plans for iteration and continued development.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn how the LEVI program is collaborating with cohort members to build public infrastructure that can improve automatic speech recognition (ASR) for early literacy across the broader field.
