The Tricky Bits of Residential Leasehold Conveyancing: Ground Rents, Cladding and Service Charge Clauses.
Conveyancers may be finding it hard to keep up with leasehold changes at the moment. The government talks about ‘abolishing leasehold’ – but this will not happen overnight, if at all. Conveyancers still have daily challenges of dealing with leasehold issues and are under pressure to properly advise their buyer and lender clients.
This 2-hour online session will cover some of the main pitfalls and how to avoid them
Delegates will have the chance to ask questions throughout this online, live and interactive course
The course will cover:
· What is the current position on ground rents?
· Does the conveyancer still need to worry about ground rents?
· Leasehold Reform (Ground Rent) Act 2022
· What is the current position on cladding and EWS1 certificates?
· Common problems with service charges
· The future – what is on the horizon?
The course will be streamed live, direct to your desktop, tablet or smart phone so you can watch it from your office or home anywhere in the world. You can participate in the conference live or watch the recorded version whenever or wherever you want. In each case you will receive a recording of the complete conference after the event.
Our presenter is Lorraine Richardson. Lorraine qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and since then has had a wide and varied career as a property solicitor in private practice and as a legal trainer. Lorraine combines these two skills to offer training that is accessible and practical. Lorraine has written and delivered courses on residential conveyancing, presentation skills, the SRA Code of Conduct, AML, compliance issues, property issues for family lawyers and cybercrime.
The price for this is £199 + VAT. This is a per organisation price, so up to 10 of your colleagues can participate at absolutely no extra charge, even if they are viewing it from a different location or at a different time. So, of course, if there are 10 of you the cost per delegate would be just £19.50 per head.
For firms with four or less partners, you can purchase a single place at the conference for £99 + VAT
