Public Procurement Law and Practice: An Update

Wed 8 Jun 2022 9:45 AM - 1:00 PM BST Online, Zoom

Following on from last year's very popular event, This half day online Public Procurement Law Update conference covers a new series of very topical issues and will be streamed live, direct to your desktop so you can watch it from your office or home.

The price for this is £225 + VAT. This is a per organisation price, so up to 19 of your colleagues can participate at absolutely no extra charge, even if they are viewing it from a different location or at a different time. The whole conference will be recorded so you have a choice of watching it live or recorded, or a mixture of both.

For firms with 4 or less partners, the cost of a single ticket is £99 + VAT

This conference is a comprehensive half-day event for all those who need to keep up to date with the latest developments in public procurement law and practice, including private practice lawyers, in-house lawyers, public sector lawyers and all others involved with public procurement contracts

We have gathered together some of the top experts in these complex areas, and between them they will cover the following topics::

- Re-running a procurement process when the original procurement process has been challenged – key issues to watch out for

- Automatic suspensions and remedies: where are we now?

- Framework Agreements in all their various forms

- Government Procurement Reform : an update

- Conflicts of interest – practical examples of conflicts of interest and appropriate measures for dealing with them, including ethical wall agreements

- Teckal and other public sector co-operations

Common issues at the selection stage and how to manage these

This is streets ahead of an ordinary passive webinar experience with one or two speakers, which gets very tedious very quickly. We have 7 speakers. With this online conference, you will be able to participate with up to 19 colleagues at no extra cost - either live, or in segments (perhaps viewing it a session at a time over several days/weeks) or on an on-demand, recorded basis. You will be able to take part by video or audio from your office or home.

Speakers:

Rebecca Rees, Partner, Trowers and Hamlins

Michael Bowsher QC, Monckton Chambers

Rhodri Williams QC, Henderson Chambers

Simon Taylor, Keating Chambers

Michael Mousdale, Browne Jacobson

Jennifer Robinson, Dentons

Fergus Randolph, Brick Court Chambers

What will delegates take away from this conference?

- An in-depth understanding of the latest developments in procurement law and practice

- A practical analysis of how the law applies to procurement contracts - current and future

- Reduced price access to The Legal Training Consultancy’s portfolio of training courses

We have been putting together online conferences, and face-to-face conferences for 24 years, and have fine tuned the product to reassure ourselves that, as a concept it works, and sitting in front of a screen is not too big an ask for delegates. It works extremely well. Try it and see!

Important Notes about Booking

1. If you are booking more than say 14 delegates, it is probably better to make two bookings of half the number of delegates each, starting with the paying delegate and then adding half the free delegates to that booking and then creating a new booking for the rest of the free delegates. The reason for this is that the booking platform time-out kicks in perhaps too quickly and you can lose all the information you inputted. Alternatively you can book your first delegate and send the names, job titles and email addresses of the additional delegates to us at info@legaltrainingconsultancy.co.uk

2. Payment can be made by credit or debit card or alternatively by invoice. The option to pay by invoice is below the pay by card option in the booking form

3. If you have more than 20 delegates then extra delegates are £20 each. Contact us at info@legaltrainingconsultancy.co.uk to arrange this

4. If you don't have the complete list of who will be attending you can book for those that you know will be attending and add the others at a later date

5. If you would like to submit questions in advance to the speakers please send them to info@legaltrainingconsultancy.co.uk

Terms of booking

1. Payment of delegate fees for attendance is normally required before the date of the conference, otherwise attendance may be refused

2. Replacement delegates are permitted at any time but if they are too close to the conference date, the change may not be reflected in the list of delegates

3. We operate a no cancellation policy. The only exception is in relation to demonstrable ill-health on the day of the conference. Notwithstanding this we may, at our discretion, offer a credit for the whole or part of the delegate fee paid to be used either towards the costs of a future conference or other event or in-house training
