Language Intervention

Please note: You must have completed the Introduction to Speech and Language module before commencing this course. When booking two modules at the same time, please ensure at least 10 weeks between the start dates.

This course starts on 19th September 2024 and begins with an online zoom meeting at 11am.

Module Content

This module focuses on understanding language difficulties in an educational context. Participants will learn about effective strategies to support the understanding and spoken language skills of children both within the classroom and around school. It will also cover planning and delivering successful language interventions at targeted and specialist levels, and how to measure progress.

This course will take an average of 2 hours per week over 8 to 10 weeks.

Who is the course suitable for?

It is suitable for those working with pupils aged 4 to 11 years of age (primary only, not pre-school age).
