In Democracy in America, Tocqueville declared that the American jury system and the American press were two things that made American democracy most distinctive.

In recognition of the 250th anniversary year of our Declaration of Independence, in this fall’s Friday Film series we will view films that treat these subjects, beginning with the classic 12 Angry Men.
