A true master of traditional blues styles, Martin combines soulful vocals, exceptional slide guitar playing and influences from gospel and vintage soul to create performances that move effortlessly from upbeat goodtime boogie to heartfelt ballads. A multiple nominee in the UK Blues Awards — twice reaching the finals — Martin has spent decades captivating audiences with his passion for the blues.

Beginning his career as a teenager supporting visiting American blues artists, Martin remains as dedicated to the music now in his seventies as ever before. Alongside his solo performances, he fronts the Bottleneck Blues Band and hosts a renowned weekly blues session at the Green Bottle in Leigh-on-Sea.

During the Covid lockdowns, Martin built an international following through his popular Facebook livestream performances, continuing to connect with blues fans around the world today.
