Join Drumster for another specially curated evening of exceptional live music at Madison Heights. Phil will be broadcasting the event live on radio and online. Featuring; Basharan;, The Ondines; James Goulding & New Horizon. This showcase brings together an eclectic mix of talented artists for a memorable night of original music, outstanding musicianship and unforgettable performances.
After a busy 2025, Basharan head into 2026 with an unreleased debut album recorded with Rees Broomfield at SS2 Recording and mastered by Focus Mastering USA.
Drawing from rock'n'roll, punk, metal and grunge, the trio have spent the last year building a reputation through a relentless live schedule and word of mouth. Their songs balance classic riff-driven rock with heavier influences, delivered by a band comfortable on stage and confident in its own identity.
"Basharan have been one of the most talked about acts this year, with huge demand for their return, and Friday night’s performance proved why, with easily one of the loudest and heaviest performances we have had at the club. Dirty and gritty at times, with undertones of Alice in Chains and the sky-cracking riffs of bands like Mastodon. This band is on the rise, closing the night out with Hendrix’s “Voodoo Chile”, which brought the house down." - The Bear Club, March 2025.
The Ondines are an upbeat, all woman DIY band from Southend -on-sea. Born one night in the iconic Railway Pub through a shared desire to make empowering music and have fun. Starting life as an acoustic trio, The Ondines have grown into a rockin’ pop 6 piece with attitude, and the bangers to back it up.
Their sound is eclectic, taking cues from the vintage harmonies of Crosbie, Stills and Nash, the girl group charm of the Shangri-Las, and the rebellious energy of The Slits. The Ondines are currently completing their first album, and playing live shows across Essex, London and the UK.
James Goulding is a Southend-on-Sea based singer-songwriter whose music blends alternative rock, indie influences, and heartfelt storytelling. Writing, recording, and producing his own material, Goulding has built a catalogue of honest, melodic songs that explore resilience, reflection, and the complexities of everyday life.
His recent albums, Please Stand By (2024) and So Far Away… (2025), showcase a prolific creative period, featuring songs that balance introspective lyrics with driving guitars, memorable hooks, and atmospheric production. Released through The BIGTOE Recording Company, both albums highlight Goulding’s distinctive songwriting voice and DIY approach to music-making.
Performing live as a solo artist or with accompanying musicians, James delivers engaging sets that combine original material with the energy and authenticity of a seasoned performer. His music connects with audiences who appreciate thoughtful songwriting, melodic rock, and genuine emotional depth.
