Join us at the Salero Lounge for an intimate evening with acclaimed Essex acoustic guitarist and songwriter Colin Davies, whose lifelong passion for music and storytelling spans more than five decades.

Since buying his first guitar at the age of 19, Colin has remained devoted to the art of acoustic finger-picking, developing a distinctive steel-string style heavily inspired by legends such as Paul Simon and James Taylor. His beautifully crafted performances combine intricate guitar work with thoughtful songwriting and a warm, reflective musical style.

Colin has written and released 45 original songs across three albums — Still Waters (2014), Futureland (2016), and most recently In My Minds Eye (2025) — showcasing his continued creativity and love of songwriting.

During the 1970s, Colin performed extensively alongside longtime friend Tony Bakonyvari as part of the acoustic duo Two’s Company, appearing at folk venues across Essex, headlining clubs, performing at the Cambridge Folk Festival, securing a recording and publishing deal with a London producer, and making live appearances on local radio.

Over the years Colin has also been involved in a number of successful bands and musical projects, including the long-running charity fundraising band Wheelz, which raised more than £38,000 for good causes, covers trio The Busketeers, and most recently Shades of Simon, the Paul Simon tribute band supporting the touring production The Paul Simon Story.
