This special event journeys through folk, Americana, indie, country, pop and alternative influences, united by exceptional songwriting and compelling live performance.
From Suzy Cramer's imaginative, genre-blending storytelling and Johnnie Guy's beautifully crafted songs inspired by musical greats spanning generations, to Greg Whittle's heartfelt, emotionally charged songwriting and Anna Rey's powerful vocals and contemporary folk-rock sound, this promises an intimate evening of original music, creativity and authentic storytelling from some of the region's finest emerging and established artists.
Anna Rey is a musician, singer, songwriter, and composer based in Essex/London in the UK, who is focused and committed to her craft. Her music is reflective and unique, driven by emotion, with a clarity of astounding vocals and composition, creating a fusion of sound with strong country, folk, acoustic, rock and pop influences.
Anna has collaborated with various artists in both performance and writing, currently working and performing nationally and internationally. She is passionate about creating music, songwriting and performing live to engage and inspire her audience.
Greg Whittle is an Essex-based singer-songwriter whose music combines vulnerable lyricism, dynamic acoustic performance and emotionally charged storytelling. Influenced by folk, indie and alternative rock, he writes songs that explore resilience, identity, relationships and the quieter struggles people carry beneath the surface.
Known for intimate live performances that can quickly build into powerful, anthemic moments, Greg balances honest songwriting with a warm, engaging stage presence. Whether performing at open mics, local venues or festival line-ups, his focus remains the same: creating genuine connection through music that feels personal, reflective and unafraid to say the difficult things out loud.
Johnnie Guy has two major passions in his life, surfing and music, both of which were commenced at age 13 in 1965, you do the maths! Now in 2026 he is a little older, but he still dons a wetsuit when the opportunity arises! But, music and particularly songwriting is a light which shines brighter than ever before. His influences range from the 30’s love songs of Lorenz Hart, to Beethoven to Leonard Cohen, Richard Thompson, Bob Dylan. In 2022 and 2024 he released two albums ” Elders of the Tribe” and “Moments” both largely original material.
