No previous songwriting experience is required — just bring your ideas, imagination and enthusiasm.
And it doesn’t end with the workshop! You’ll also have the exciting opportunity to showcase the song created during the workshop live at the Amphitheatre on 20th September, as part of the Maldon Festival — taking your creation from the first idea to the stage.
About Richard Townend
Richard Townend is a British singer-songwriter, guitarist and recording artist whose music draws on blues, Americana, roots and folk traditions. A British Blues Award nominee, he has released a string of critically acclaimed albums showcasing his thoughtful songwriting, expressive guitar playing and distinctive voice.
Equally at home in intimate acoustic settings and larger festival stages, Richard’s performances combine storytelling, musicianship and authenticity, creating a genuine connection with audiences.
