Esther Freud
Esther Freud
We are thrilled to welcome the great Esther Freud to the Mannington Book Bash!
Esther shot to fame with her autobiographical novel Hideous Kinky — famously made into a film starring Kate Winslet — and has since written a further eight bestselling novels. My Sister and Other Lovers, released this summer, catches up with the two sisters from that first book, Lucy and Bea. As the sisters come of age and embark on their own experiments – in love, drugs, work, motherhood – they find their lives, and their relationships, increasingly in turmoil. Can the love they have for each other transcend the damage of the past? Or is the past too dangerous to examine?
Esther will be in conversations with award winning novelist and short story writer Naomi Wood.
This event will run from 12:00pm to 1:00pm with a signing taking place afterwards.
