The Marshall Society, the official Economics society at the University of Cambridge presents the Economics Conference 2026 on Saturday 21st March 2026! This conference will give A level students a real insight about studying Economics at University. The day will consist of talks by leading Economists who will each present their research centred around the conference topic ‘Trade Under Pressure: Protectionism & the New Commodities Order’. Students will have an opportunity to discuss and ask questions to speakers to help gain an insight into the broad range of branches within Economics. We also plan to have Economics Undergraduate students give a talk about UCAS application advice and take part in a Q&A with them as well as give students a tour of the colleges at Cambridge!
The conference is at Lady Mitchell Hall in Cambridge which is a large auditorium and will take place from 9.30am-5.00pm, with breaks in between. Please book tickets as soon as possible to secure your space at the conference and avoid disappointment!
Marshall Society merchandise, such as branded tote bags and note books, will be available for purchase on the day.
Please note: we are a University society and hence proceeds from ticket sales are to cover the venue and catering costs. However, there are access tickets available to those eligible so if you would like further information on this, please feel free to contact enquiries@marshallsoc.org
