Diplomacy Unpacked: Insights, Careers & Connections

The Middle East Association is delighted to invite members and guests, in partnership with SNS (Solutions not Sides) and RUSI NextGen, to an afternoon panel discussion and networking reception at the RUSI on Tuesday September 8th from 2:30pm to 7pm. 

As part of their Future Diplomats Programme, SNS is hosting this panel discussion with Dr Julie Norman, Michael Stephens and Nicholas Hopton to explore the role of think tanks in international relations, diplomacy, and peacebuilding.The discussion will provide participants with the opportunity to hear directly from experts with varied experience across policy and international affairs about their career journeys, professional experiences in the Middle East, and the current challenges and opportunities facing the diplomatic sector.

Designed for university students, recent graduates and those at the start of their careers.

5pm - Speed Networking with participants from Future Diplomats, RUSI NextGen and MEA Young Professionals Group rotating between tables featuring discussion prompts and conversation topics.

7pm - Event concludes with brief roundup
