How Do We Build a Movement?
Across Nottinghamshire, communities, trade unions, anti-racist groups and local organisations are already doing important work. But how do we connect that work, build stronger relationships and turn solidarity into the collective power needed to create lasting change?
For the next Nottinghamshire Solidarity Network meeting, we’re bringing together people with experience of building movements across different struggles and generations.
Rather than simply hearing the history of these movements, we want to understand the organising behind them. How did they bring people together? How did they build trust and leadership? How did they understand power, develop strategy and move people towards collective action? What worked, what didn’t, and what can we learn from those experiences today?
This will be an interactive evening, with plenty of space for discussion and for us to think together about what these lessons mean for Nottinghamshire.
Guest Speakers to be confirmed!
Whether you’ve been involved in organising for years or are getting involved for the first time, you’re very welcome.
