Coaching With Nature - A Masterclass with Karen Liebenguth and James Farrell
An experiential masterclass for coaches who want to deepen their impact: for clients, communities, and the planet.
Join us as we explore how to partner with nature for transformative coaching conversations.
Through interactive discussions and practical, hands-on exercises, we will experience how natural coaching settings can deepen awareness, improve listening, spark creativity, and foster profound transformation.
This Masterclass will help you to:
- Understand the ‘why’: Discover research on the cognitive, emotional, and physiological benefits of nature-based coaching.
- Enhance your coaching impact: Cultivate mindful, grounded presence and deepen your listening skills.
- Let Nature guide you: Learn how to go beyond using outdoor spaces as a backdrop, and begin to integrate nature into your coaching wherever you do it.
- Honour the ethics of Coaching with Nature: Lead with safety, equity and compassion - for your clients and for the natural world.
We will be based at The Hub, a sustainable community space in the historic and diverse Victoria Park, East London. We will spend as much of the day as possible outdoors in the park, connecting and working together.
Tea, coffee and a healthy lunch is included.
The venue is easily accessible by public transport.
Who is the masterclass for?
This event is about deepening existing practice. It is suitable for people off all ages, backgrounds and approaches who coach others - either individually, in small groups, or in teams. If you’re not sure the day is right for you, please contact us and we’d be happy to talk it through.
We hope the day will spark an interest in taking coaching outdoors, or finding systemic ways to bring nature into our conversations with clients wherever we have them. You will experience insights and practice you can take away and use or adapt in your work.
We also aim for the day to provide practices and tools that will strengthen your own relationship with nature - something that is available for everyone, whether it is in a park in East London, from a window view, or in the countryside.
Testimonials from previous events
Today was a fantastic opportunity to really connect: with the environment around us, with myself, with other inspiring minds. Such rich stories were shared, as we were meandering in the landscape.
Today has been nourishing and restorative. So wonderful to be in the company of like-minded people in such an inspirational place. Karen and James created a very special space for reflection, learning and curiosity. It was just what I needed.

About the venue
We will be at The Hub, an inviting environment and community space in Victoria Park, East London. Our space will include the venue, and the park itself - a place full of rich history, diverse people, and wonderful trees, water and open spaces.
‘Vicky park’ is the oldest park in London, established in 1845 as the ‘People’s Park’ for the residents and workers of East London. Victoria Park is a key link in a green corridor, stretching from the River Thames at Limehouse, along the Regents Canal and through Mile End Park next door to the Olympic Park next door.
You will find beautiful scenery, lush greenery, and the tranquil waters of West Lake, surrounded by weeping willows. Banyan Tree Walk has majestic vines that twist and turn to form wondrous shapes, and there is a Chinese garden with traditional pavilions and stone bridges spanning over koi ponds dotted with multi-coloured lilies.
What to prepare before the day
Bring suitable outdoor clothing for all weathers, a notebook, a watch (so we can leave our phones off), and something to sit on if the ground is wet.
