Join us for a creative workshop designed for children to explore the joy of kite-making and flying!

Inspired by the beautiful poem by Palestinian poet and professor Refaat Alareer, this event is part of the international kite flying movement for the children of Gaza.

Children will have the opportunity to craft their very own kites using red, green, black, and white colours. They can decorate their kites with
flowers, birds, love hearts, or any other designs that inspire their creativity and imagination. Under the guidance of professional artists
and supportive youth workers, kids will learn the art of kite-making and the joy of watching their creations soar in the sky.

Flying kites in Gaza has been a tradition for children and a symbol of hope for decades. In 2011, more than 12,000 children in Gaza flew kites on the
beach, setting a new world record for the most kites flown simultaneously.

This workshop is designed to foster creativity, cultural appreciation, and a sense of community among children internationally with the children of Gaza, and to enjoy the simple, timeless pleasure of kite flying.

We will meet at 5:30 to fly the kites together

This workshop is for children aged 6+
