2026 Neurospirituality Symposium

Where Brain Science Meets the Sacred
Friday, February 27, 2026 • Somerville, MA + Virtual Attendance

Join us for the 2026 Neurospirituality Symposium, an immersive, interdisciplinary gathering at the intersection of neuroscience, spirituality, psychology, and philosophy. This one-day event brings together researchers, clinicians, and thought leaders exploring how prayer, mystical-type experiences, and spiritual practices relate to brain function, human meaning, and therapeutic transformation.

About the Symposium

The Neurospirituality Symposium convenes experts and emerging voices to examine cutting-edge research and perspectives on:

  • Prayer science — empirical studies on how prayer affects attention, emotion, physiology, and behavior.
  • Mystical-type experiences — scientific investigations into transformative altered states and their impact on identity and worldview.
  • Spiritual therapeutics — rigorous work on meditation, rituals, and spiritual practices as resources for healing and resilience.

Our suggested donation for those who are able to contribute is $20 for a virtual ticket at $80 for in-person attendance. Please do not let money be the reason you do not participate in the symposium. We want everyone interested in this cutting-edge of spirituality and science to have access to the symposium proceedings.

Whether you’re deep in research or seeking to ground your practice in evidence, this symposium offers a rigorous, welcoming environment to explore the frontiers of neurospirituality and meaning.
