ICYOLA PRESENTS THE: I, TOO, SING AMERICA TOUR - WDC STOP

Fri Jul 17, 2026 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM NMAAHC

In honor of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, this Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (ICYOLA) concert season adopts the theme “I, Too, Sing America” — a direct homage to the iconic Langston Hughes poem published a century ago. This centennial reflection invites audiences to celebrate the enduring promise of America: a promise that continues to expand and include the voices, stories, and artistic contributions of all its people. Through this theme, we recognize the past, affirm our presence, and declare a future shaped by unity, equity, and cultural expression.

The Washington, DC stop will be held at the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

The July 17 event is an exclusive, ticketed experience and attendance is by RSVP only. Tickets will not be available at the door.
