Looking for a way to balance work commitments and your children's summer holiday adventures?
Join us every Friday throughout the summer holidays, from 31 July to 28 August.
This summer, we're offering a unique opportunity for families: while children enjoy guided nature-based activities outdoors, parents can make the most of dedicated coworking time in a calm and welcoming space with Wi-Fi, tables, and a productive environment.
For Children: NATure EMFC - Eat, Move, Feel and Connect Sessions
Our EMCF programme invites children to connect meaningfully with nature-to explore habitats and life cycles, link wild nutrition with wild creatures, become Nature Detectives, notice the hidden maths in natural patterns, and take part in conversations initiated by curiosity and deeper thinking. Together, they grow creativity, share imagination, and further develop their connection with the living world. Minimum age: 4 years.
Children will enjoy:
- Nature exploration and discovery
- Bug hunts and wildlife spotting
- Sensory experiences through natural materials
- Nature-inspired creative activities
- Free play and imaginative outdoor adventures
- Opportunities to make friends and build social skills
- Fresh fruit and refreshments will be provided for all children attending the sessions.
Research consistently shows that spending time in nature supports children's physical health, emotional wellbeing, creativity, problem-solving skills, and resilience. Outdoor play also helps children develop independence, confidence, and a deeper connection with the environment.
For parents: time to focus
While your children are immersed in nature, you can:
- Work remotely using Old Green coworking space. Please be mindful that parents are expected to remain on site.
- Access reliable Wi-Fi
- Enjoy a calm environment to focus and be productive
- Catch up on projects, emails, planning, or study
- Relax knowing your children are engaged, active, and having fun nearby
- Tea and coffee will be available for parents using the coworking space, with Wi-Fi and workstations provided.
It's a practical solution for busy parents who need uninterrupted work time during the summer holidays, while giving children a meaningful experience outdoors.
