Xmas Movie Screening: Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987)
Mon 18 Dec 2023 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
The Old Shoe, S1 2FB
Description
You're not going to watch The Snowman again for the hundredth time, are you?
On Monday 18th December, The Old Shoe will be opening for a special screening of the 1987 meme-spawning low-budget American holiday horror sequel Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2.
Yes, the film only made $154,323 at the box office, but the viral clip of Eric Freeman yelling "Garbage day!" has been viewed on YouTube over 10 million times so that has to be worth something!
Drinks will be served. Murderous rampages will be viewed. What better way to spend the Monday before Christmas?!?
Doors will open at 6pm. The film will begin screening shortly after 7pm. Those who make it through the entire 88-minute runtime will be rewarded with the opportunity to continue drinking!
Your official synopsis:
Every day is "Garbage Day!" Ricky—the traumatized brother of the psychopathic Billy from SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT—has been released from the mental hospital. But before he can start life anew, Ricky must destroy Mother Superior, the powerful nun that caused his brother's violent demise. Be it by knife, umbrella, or car battery, Ricky unleashes a bloodbath of carnage on unsuspecting victims as he makes his way to Mother Superior's home on Christmas—Santa suit in tow. Making clever use of recycled footage from its predecessor and featuring an unhinged performance by star Eric Freeman, SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT 2 is an unforgettable yuletide horror experience.
