PROJECT LINUS QUILTING GROUP

9.30am - 12.30pm

Every 2nd THURSDAY of the month

This is an open, drop in, quilting group to learn sewing, textiles and quilting skills and to make quilts and blankets as part of Project Linus. All materials, tools and equipment are provided at the session including sewing machines and you are also welcome to bring your own along too. This group is suitable for all levels of ability and you will receive lots of tuition, tips, skill share and guidance. 

Not only will you learn how to quilt, you will also be making for a fantastic cause. Project Linus UK provides love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children, who are sick, disabled, disadvantaged or distressed by donating the handmade quilts and blankets that are made at the group.

The Project Linus local Area Co-ordinator, organises the monthly group here at the studio and liaises and distributes quilts and blankets to our local hospitals, children’s hospices, women’s refuges, foster carers, special schools, bereavement services and many other places where support is given to children ‘in need of a hug’ in this region. 

If you would like to join us for this monthly creative get together for a wonderful cause, with lots of support, then please do come and join us each month at the studio.

Tea, coffee & cake available at our coffee bar including fruit and herbal cordials, teas and range of coffee flavours and strengths plus delicious cakes (with dairy and gluten free options available).

DROP IN - no previous experience required and everyone is welcome!

The Old Stores Studio Cancellation Policy: Please note if you find yourself unable to attend your booking I'm afraid we are unable to offer a refund but you can transfer your ticket to another person in advance. Please let us know if you wish to do this. If the studio cancels your booking for any reason we will do our best to reschedule the workshop on an alternative date, transfer your credit to another workshop or if that is not possible we can issue a full refund upon request. Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds for SS&L courses due to administrative and material costs. Many thanks.
