Please note this workshop is for adults over 19 years old. Children are welcome to our Jack in the Green celebration at Wilfswood, but we unfortunately cannot accommodate them in the workshop this year due to our funding.

Make gorgeous fresh flower crowns this May Day weekend to summon the spirit of summer as part of our Evercreech Jack in the Green 2025 event!🌿

Join us at the studio for a relaxing and fun workshop where you will be taught how to make a series of beautiful posies from a wide range of seasonal flowers and foliage in order to construct a fresh flower crown complete with fresh flowers, greenery and ribbons fit for any follower of Evercreech Jack in the Green... the perfect attire to celebrate the coming of summer! 

All tuition, tools, materials and delicious cake and tea are included as part of your workshop package. After the workshop feel free to wear your gorgeous flower crown for our Evercreech Jack in the Green celebration and summon the spirit of summer with us at the Wilfswood for a community picnic. Everyone is welcome!🌿

Evercreech Jack in the Green is a nonprofit contemporary folk event produced by The Old Stores Studio CIC. The event involves creative workshops and flower crown making and the dressing of a 10ft wicker ‘Evercreech Jack’ in flowers and foliage followed by a community picnic at Wilfswood. Come and join us- everyone is welcome! 🌿🌾🌞

*This workshop is funded by SS&L and is part of our Creative Community Workshop series and focuses on the benefits of learning, participation and creativity for health and wellbeing with a donation for materials at the point of booking. To qualify for a funded place you need to be aged over 19 and live in Somerset and register an account with SS&L through the link given to you once you have purchased your ticket. If you are not based in Somerset (e.g. North Somerset, BANES , Dorset) but would like to take part please contact us first before booking so we can ensure the cost of your place is covered. Please note you can only gain funding for one level of learning (taster/starter/developer/enhancer) in any one academic year so check if you have received funding to complete that level before booking a place.

We request that you make a donation of whatever you can towards the full ticket price of £50. Please adjust your donation amount accordingly at the point of booking your ticket. A minimum donation is incorporated into your ticket price to cover costs and every donation above that supports our community interest work, enabling the delivery of our low cost, inclusive learning programme.

THE OLD STORES STUDIO is a versatile art, craft & creative studio, workshop and events space in Evercreech - 10 minutes from Bruton, Somerset - under an hour from Bath & Bristol, UK. We are a non profit organisation delivering a programme of creative events and activities to support wellbeing and provide opportunities for people to get together to develop and share creative skills with others in their local community. Everything we do is for and goes back into our local community and everyone is welcome!

The Old Stores Studio Cancellation Policy: Please note if you find yourself unable to attend your booking I'm afraid we are unable to offer a refund but you can transfer your ticket to another person in advance. Please let us know if you wish to do this. If the studio cancels your booking for any reason we will do our best to reschedule the workshop on an alternative date, transfer your credit to another workshop or if that is not possible we can issue a full refund upon request. Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds for SS&L courses due to administrative and material costs. Many thanks.
