3 Part Daytime Drawing & Painting Course

Join us for three still life drawing and painting sessions to develop your drawing and painting skills. In these three two-hour sessions, we will explore how to analyse and describe tone and texture and mark out space and dimensions by hand using a range of tools. We will also use grid work to translate your drawings to a different scale and plot out a composition using different painting techniques. This will be a tutored session and all materials tools and tuition are included. 

A wide range of drawing materials and tools will be available. These sessions are suitable for all levels of experience from beginners and beyond as you will be developing your learning from whatever level you start the sessions on an individual basis with tuition tailored to your requirements so even if you have never picked up a paintbrush before or are an avid artist, this course is for you! 

Our coffee bar has teas, coffees and cake available throughout the course. Please let us know if you have any specific needs or requirements at the point of booking including dietary requirements and we very much look forward to welcoming you here! ❤️

*This workshop is subsidised by Somerset Council to support adult learning and is free for adults in Somerset who earn under £25,750 pa. To qualify for a funded place you need to be aged over 19 and live in Somerset and register an account with Somerset Council through the link given to you once you have purchased your ticket. If you are not based in Somerset (e.g. North Somerset, BANES, Dorset) but would like to take part please contact us first before booking so we can ensure the cost of your place is covered. Please note you can only gain funding for one level of learning (taster/starter/developer/enhancer) in any one academic year so check if you have received funding to complete that level before booking a place.

The Old Stores Studio Cancellation Policy: Please note if you find yourself unable to attend your booking I'm afraid we are unable to offer a refund but you can transfer your ticket to another person in advance. Please let us know if you wish to do this. If the studio cancels your booking for any reason we will do our best to reschedule the workshop on an alternative date, transfer your credit to another workshop or if that is not possible we can issue a full refund upon request.
